Wow...that was queer. Anyways, my very first full-length just came out today, as of this moment, and I'm feeling a little weird (although it could be from the two Adrenaline Rush's I just downed). I've worked real hard on this for almost a year, and it's weird to have it out there now in the world.
The music I've made since then just keeps getting better (in my opinion), and I'm all nervous now that it's out. But, totally happy at the same time. This is something I didn't think would ever happen, and I've kicked ass to make it so.
I guess the point of the post is: I know there are other artists who post on this board. What was your feeling upon your first release? This is weird to me, it's almost anti-climactic.
Peace-
ACoA

I have no albums out at all and that is very Anti-climatic. heh heh.
Incidentally I came acorss an article in National Geographic where I read what Amaranth was and it appears to be a grain that is similar to wheat. So you are a Crown of Pseudo-wheat? heh heh. But I guess it was mildly important to South Americans where they sacrificed people to it and stuff.

i'm still new to having albums out and find it rather strange, especially seeing feedback/reviews/comments about them in random corners of the internet. making the music is always far more climactic then looking back on it in retrospect, for me at least :)

Indeed, I am A Crown of Psuedo-Wheat. Although, that doesn't necessarily have the same ring to it, but whatever.
I chose the name because of the occult/magick significance (which isn't to say I give a shit about any of that stuff, I just found it interesting) in that it's been believed since Greek times that if you find and weave a crown of amaranth it guarantees success in all of your endeavours and/or makes you impervious to bullets or dark magic. I thought it was an interesting idea, and i use it almost as a talisman. Whenever I falter or feel like giving up, it's what I think about to keep me going.
And, Droner, you're right about the music being more interesting (or at least less hair-raising) then releasing it, but sometimes I fucking hate doing that too. I get frustrated a lot, hehe.

It's always a bit of an anti-climax yes, but you get accustomed to it. The anticipation is better than the actual release I say. Once it's out there, one feels kind of sick of it and wants to move on.

the anticipation was definitely better than the release. most things were definitely better than the release. the release wasn't very good. but then neither are most releases and that is a comforting thing to know young hobbit.
so never release anything again and you'll never again feel bad.
done.

now that I think about it, that's the only course of action that makes sense. I'll never release another thing, fake my death so my release becomes an underground brVtal kVlt sensation and it'll have to be re-pressed so many times, people will beg me to come out of hiding because they know I faked my death and then I'll come back and release a hideous live album and a greatest hits which will just be another release of my first full-length.

I wish there was a way for me to post songs here, but I have no web-space...urgh...whatever. I made a great dark-ass song today and wanted to share it with people, but I guess you miss out now.
