HUM OF THE DRUID provides one track of raw, concentrated, bubbling volcanics on top of droning sub-echoes.
Conversations About the Light creates a thick wall of powerful dark ambience.
For listeners looking to be subdued, not entertained.
I am down to my last couple of copies of this.
Also, I still have a few copies of the Conversations About the Light-"An Unfinished Poem For January Second" 3"

Here's a review from Worm Gear:
HUM OF THE DRUID/CONVERSATIONS ABOUT THE LIGHT - Split
This is a three song split 3" CDR, featuring one track from each project and then a collaborative track between the two to close the release out. Hum Of The Druid is first up with the nearly nine minute, "Volcanorifice Encased." Raw low to mid range stuttering, agitated noise, ambient tones cycling in the background, and a biting higher frequency cutting through the middle. The track is pretty constant in its approach, and thus is probably longer than it needs to be, but still not bad. "Ephemeral Architecture" is the CATL track, and it comes in just over 6 minutes. This is a disorienting combination of swirling ambient textures and reverberations, that morphs into a subtle melodic dirge. Simple melodies rise through the haze of textures, but manage to maintain that awkward off balance feel. This is a really nice piece, that develops well and conveys a lot through its use of shifting layers. The collaborative track is simply called "Druid/Light" is a cryptic ambient piece of dirty hums and atmosphere rubbing together with a glacial pace while a quiet pulse drones away in the back. There are some noisier edges to some of the sounds that rise up in the mix a time or two, but the overall feel is one of dangerous calm. I believe this is pretty highly limited, and available only from the projects themselves. - Scott

Just a quick note to say that I am now sold out of the split 3" as is HOTD.
I'm also out of copies of "Unfinished..."
Given sufficient interest both items may be re-released at a later date.
Here's the latest review of the split, taken from Aversionline:
Hum of the Druid/Conversations About the Light split 3" CD
7/10 - [self-released]
Hum of the Druid opens with "Volcanorifice Encased" at about nine minutes of bleak and sinister harsh noise - despite the lulling ambience perhaps suggested by the project's name. There's definitely a nice low-end throb herein, but thick midrange distortion panned against twisted near-feedback drives the track. In many way it's more like death industrial than harsh noise to me, there's just no real rhythm to it - it's abstract but atmospheric. Conversations About the Light's "Ephemeral Architecture" is an excellent dark ambient piece that flows calmly between rumbling low-end synths and thick, resonant stringed instruments (not too musical or obvious). "Druid/Light" is a collaborative track between the two, certainly leaning more towards the minimal dark ambient side. This is probably the most ominous piece on the disc, quietly pulsing forth with heavy bass and some wispy lower-midrange. It's more reminiscent of the Conversations About the Light piece, which makes me curious to know if Hum of the Druid has a more relaxed side as well. The CD-R comes in a small plastic sleeve with a sticker on each side consisting of artwork and minimal text. It looks pretty consistent, I don't mind it. I'm a little surprised that the disc is limited to a mere 24 copies, as the material is very strongÂ… so do act fast if you plan to acquire one of these gems. Very nice. I'm highly pleased with all three compositions.
Running time - 19:52, Tracks: 3
[Notable tracks: all three are very well executed]
