Since this has not been brought up here yet I thought I would.
From the Coil website:
While there has been no official annoucement from the company, various sources (including Coil) have revealed that World Serpent Distribution has collapsed. It's currently unclear what effect this will have on the availability of releases in Coil's back-catalogue that were manufactured and distributed by WSD. We'll pass along more info as it becomes available.
Any thoughts?
I've read about it several places today myself (yes, including the DIJ group).
This does undoubtely shed some light on Douglas P.'s wrath doesn't it? No matter how silly and childish it could have been percieved.

They were distributing the whole back catalogue of The Moon lay hidden... including that one.
I think it will be interesting to see what the bands involved in this company will do now. Especially Current 93 and Nurse with wound who had such insanely large catalogues still in print...

Huh? What's this all about?

There was a fallout between Douglas P and WS some years ago. His anger and resentment towards this company is probably unsurpassed in music history, and is well documented on the album "All pigs must die".
It is reported that he put some kind of curse on them.
Not much research on the web is required before you will run into information regarding this. http://www.thermconduct.net/di6ia is a webpage that have alot of DIJ interviews collected, try there for starters.
Edit: the page seems to be down :-//

All Pigs Must Die is definitely about and dedicated to the owners of world serpent, douglas usually is more cryptic about things but he pretty much made it known that the albums a death threat. Boyd made an off handed commented about it being and ritual or something silly.
I think dutro has been rereleasing the c93 albums, so maybe tibet retains the rights to his albums?

Tony Wakeford has his Tursa, Steven Stapleton has his United Dairies, Coil have their Treshold house and Tibet his Durtro yes, but what i am getting at is how they're going to get their albums distributed again etc.
Just look at how long it has taken DIJ to get the stuff back out. Burial and The guilty have no past is *still* not out, and the court settlement was back in last Desember wasn't it?
Granted, the case with DIJ is different though...

Ahhh okay. Now that you mention that I remember reading something about that awhile back.
