  1. THE SHIT IS GOING DOWN

It's not even about Zweizz, it's about the fact we at Vendlus are fucking sick of piss poor reviewers. Needless to say check the front page of the vendlus site www.vendlus.com for more info.

  2. Awesome Phillip I totally agree!

Actually here is how it's gonna be. From now on if you buy Zweizz and don't like it send it back I'll give you the money back.

Straight fucking up. It's the best redefinition of black metal. Don't expect traditional metal elements, expect the atmosphere, agenda and idea's behind that angst and passion found in the genre.

Also, If you don't like the free tracks on the vendlus frontpage, don't bother buying it, you won't like the rest. We are positive however if you do like those tracks you will enjoy it.

This happens all the time, and there are many reviews that are worse than this. No suprise. Many reviewers dosent even care to listen through the whole album and they doesnt do research at all before writing. Seems like they are writing reviews just to receive promos.

  9. Exactly 1955 and I'm completely against this!

I have i guess internally started a campaign to blacklist this kinda stuff from the vendlus promo lists. I really love how I get requests for cds that are 2-3 years old for review. That is also another problem of people just wanting to get free cds. I don't think alot of journalists (or pseudo journalists) take their job's seriously. I have burned a few bridges in Italy for sure by calling these people out but you know what the age of vendlus being nice to try to advance our artist's chances of exposure are over. We are seriously going to take on a more brutally truthful attitude. At least we will sleep better at night :)

Also there is enough people out there now who do care about vendlus that help us everyday with our campaigns and releases. TheEnd, Firebox, Imhotep, Malignant Records, Modern Fix, Decibel, Unrestrained, Earsplit PR,Massive Music , and of course our artists and fans of the artists have shown us alot of support and it means the world to us.

Back when I wrote for a zine, it was fairly stressful and time consuming. The editor passed me CDs and a rough time frame. If the music was outside my general frame of reference, then I needed to track down some material on the genre. Hell, I remember tracking down contact info for some obscure midwestern Black Metal band just to verify something fairly insignificant. Then my immediate superior ran a review that made me feel dumber for reading it and I quit. Honestly, the editorial standards of a lot of these publications are akin to personal blogs. It would not shock me to read "Like OMG my friend Jeff he says that Hellhammer uses like you know triggers and junk but I'm all like 'noo he's a bad ass' and Jeff he's like you know 'blah blah blah lazy blah blah blah!' well they like made him not use triggers on this new Mayhem JERK!" It would be great to see smaller labels band together and boycott some of these places. Problem there is that would create this "anti-fan/elitist asswad" image and resulting backlash that companies stll sitting on 250 out of 500 pressed copies of a disc might not be able to afford. Of course that might be just as harmful as people thinking that Zweizz is utter shite because the "progressive metal dude" reviewer listened to an Aphex Twin album and didn't like it.
