It's really a shame about this. I loved the abundances of awkwardness and uncomfortableness that Audiosavant was able to supply to my previously unawkward and comfortable life.

...The Death Rattle...

A Death Certificate: 1926 - 2006

It is with a heavy heart that I have decided to put Audio Savant out of it's perpetual struggle and misery. Other things in my life have taken priority, and unfortunately, even though the label has grown much larger than I ever imagined, it is time to put it to rest. We have accomplished much, and broadened some people's horizons, and exposed bands like The Poops and Jam Handy to people that otherwise would have been ignorant. The brilliant novelist Food Fortunata was cast to the public and embraced, this being one of our biggest achievements.

We went from very humble beginnings, and grew, and grew, and grew, and if it wasn't for adventurous music lovers that took a chance, and if it wasn't for the tireless efforts of the people that joined the Audio Savant team, we couldnt have accomplished a fraction of what we have.

I started Audio Savant because I saw a gap in what labels are doing and what they are providing. Ive loved completely obscure and challenging outsider music for many many years, and wanted to promote and give these acts and music the same attention that other genres enjoy. Bands on the AS roster were always the ones that were overlooked, the ones that stuck out, the ugly ducklings. My goal was to treat them well and celebrate their uniqueness, and their bravery.

I suppose this beast was doomed to die sooner, rather than later, but rest assured, that Audio Savant was a label propelled by passion, from beginning to end. In a better world, the music we released would have penetrated the airwaves, and been sung in class by school children.

Now, my time will be taken up spending time with my family, and creating music. Ive always been a musician, first and foremost, and the business end of the music industry has beat AS into submission.

I just hope that a few people recognized the quality, quirky music that we championed.

In order to liquidate our catalogue, we are selling cds for insanely cheap. Most are under 5.00. Please order 2-3 cds if you can so we can cover shipping costs, as shipping is always free.

Ironically enough, the Formloff CD is coming back from the plant this week. We will not be selling it however, but it will be distributed in the USA and Europe by the band themselves.

On behalf of myself, all the bands on the AS roster, Brandon Elkins, Robert Hunter O., Marius and Bernt, we all thank you...
Canaan - The Unsaid Words
4 long years have passed since "A calling to weakness". But finally CANAAN are back...... stronger than ever....... If ACTW was a moan of pain, "The unsaid words" is a chant of knowledge. Of the knowledge of an unstoppable physical and psychical withering. Dark, profound, sinister music. No other band sounds like this........

Price: $12

Fire in the Head - Meditate/Mutilate
The straightjacket has been removed, the medication has worn off and the delusions have intensified. F/I/T/H has returned to spread the poison with “Meditate/Mutilate”, a schizophrenic and volatile mix of seething, harsh electronics, dark ambience and tortured vocals. From the blackest depths of neurosis to the apex of unrestrained psychosis, the ten tracks on this cd hone F/I/T/H’s dual-edged blade to perfection. “Meditate/Mutilate” is released by Eibon Records in a digipak and features guest vocals by Nick Blinko of Rudimentary Peni.

Price: $12

Nazca - Non Grata
Two years in production, Non Grata is Nazca's most realised release yet. After a series of misfortunes (bankruptcies, carcrashes, deception, lies, breakups and illness), “Non grata” is finally ready to be presented to the world. Imagine how far a post-rock band can go when driven by intense motivation. Imagine how far a wave band can go when lighted up by incredible talent and commitment. Imagine how high a band can go. Point. Then double it. And you won’t be even close to the heights reached by these finnish wavers. Non grata is a reminder of how good music can get. Period. Happy ? Satisfied ? Try NAZCA before saying you’re OK..........

Price: $12

SKM-ETR - The Rugged Meat Cleaver
Crushing walls of white noise meet melodies, just to show the two styles aren't oil and water..... Uncompromising harsh electronics with a somehow 'musical' edge, topped by lots of samples, in-your-face lyrics and thug attitude. Featuring contributions by Brethren, Slogun and Murderous Vision. Run, darling, run. Fast. The rugged meat cleaver is here FOR YOU !!

Price: $12

This Empty Flow - The Album
Double CD collecting the "Magenta Skycode" album and "Magenta Lost" 11 unreleased tracks from '94-'96. This Empty Flow are without doubt one of the most underestimated dark bands of the whole world. Mixing bits of early The Cure with Pink Floyd-esque songsÂ’ structures and a massive dose of personality, they're a jewel yet to be discovered.

Price: $15
